INDUSTRY TRAINING
Workers in demolition, machine operation, and supervision are required to undergo training endorsed by NZDAA. Currently, NZDAA is collaborating with Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council to establish nationally recognized credentials that will offer a structured training pathway within the demolition industry. Although this project, initiated in 2023, will require considerable time to finish, NZDAA will provide regular updates to keep the industry informed about the progress.
BUSINESS TRAINING
While waiting for the availability of demolition credentials, many companies have the capability to develop their own competency standards. These standards usually encompass industry requirements and may also incorporate specific requirements tailored to each company's needs.
